I have loved exploring since childhood. 💥 But those utterly enticing places like Africa and India (and China and Siberia, I might add) never landed within my range. 😢 😢😢One reason why I thoroughly enjoyed your story, Joshua -- the vividly portrayed setting, with its grandmas and Uncle Rajah and little boy watching the ships--just eat your rice and quit worrying.
Nah, I was just referencing the ancestral homeland of the San people with their marvelous click language, those who used nothing more than little bows and arrows to bring down fierce and dangerous prey.
Oh dear... <Blush, blush> True confessions: Grandma myself here, I uh just skipped over the narrator's vector. Interesting-looking image, but THAT, like coding, etc is also outside my range. However, I will say, going forward or backward, one thing doesn't change: that is ---struggle. The main thing I bemoan about modernity isn't any burden of struggle; it is the lack of worthwhile values. But then, maybe that IS the struggle now, to regain the internal north star of a firm code of honor when no one around acknowleges how essential that is to self-respect.
